MATTERLEY BASIN (Great Britain), 25 August 2013 – Thanks to mother nature acting out, the European classes were faced with an extremely wet and technical circuit this morning as they took on the final day of the Matterley Basin MXGP Festival. Despite the less than ideal racing conditions, on this day champions were born! With still one round to go of the European EMX125 Championship, Wilvo Nestaan KTM JM Racing’s Pauls Jonass has been crowned champion, while Junior World Champion British Conrad Mewse is crowned EMX85 Champion and Dutch phenomena Raivo Dankers won the EMX65 Championship. Meanwhile the EMX250 title is still up for grabs after Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Jeremy Seewer dominated the seventh round of the EMX250 in England.
MATTERLEY BASIN (Great Britain), 23 August 2013 – The MXGP Festival is the pinnacle of motocross in the United Kingdom and for the British fans, there is nothing better than witnessing one of their “own” take home their first ever international race victory. British youngster Albie Wilkie turned out to be the crowd pleaser here in Matterley Basin, when he battled his way from a fourth place start to take victory here at round three of the EMX150 European Championship. Amidst all the action a new champion was born; Italian Filippo Grigoletto rode clever beyond his years to be crowned the first ever EMX150 European Champion which has rewarded him with a place on highly established team Gariboldi Honda for 2014.
BASTOGNE (Belgium), 18 August 2013 – With temperatures quite a bit colder than yesterday and a sky withholding thick cloud cover, the Honda CRF150 youngsters lined up again for round two of the Honda EMX150 European Championship. With a lot of fresh faces here in Belgium, the championship standings were sure to heat up. Taking home his first EMX150 round victory was Italian Filippo Grigoletto who led the race from start to finish ahead of Enzo Toriani and Mitchell Lewis.
LOKET (Czech Republic), 04 August 2013 – Hosted at a circuit that’s been situated for more than forty years in the small picturesque town of Loket, the young generation of motocross stars lined up today for round six of the EMX250 European Chamionship and round five of the EMX125 sereis. Loving the old school circuit was yesterday’s ‘Group B’ Semi-Final EMX125 winner Nicolas Dercourt, who finally broke the winning streak of Pauls Jonass, while Anton Lundgren and Calvin Vlaandere completed the podium. In EMX250 Valentin Guillod dominated the whole race and Jeremy Seewer and Mike Kras were second and third.
LAUSITZRING (Germany), 28 July 2013 - A spectacular new circuit has been built on the infield of the world famous Lausitzring EuroSpeedway this weekend in order to host round thirteen of the FIM Motocross World Championship. While the astonishing track has been the talk of the pits, it’s not the only thing this weekend that will be turning heads. Honda in conjunction with Youthstream and FIM Europe have created the EMX150 European Championship where selected riders from all over the world will come to race a standard CRF150 for their chance to etch their name into the history books and take home the first ever EMX150 European Championship title.
